This was one of the most packed weekend i have had in recent memory. And i am really exhausted! In desperate need of more time to do everything in general! but though tiring, it leaves one feeling very satisfied and happy :) after days like this, u can just sink into bed feeling happy and contented all ready to enter dreamland.. :)
now its so late, but since i have not blogged in a week, i shall proceed!
by the way, tt opening paragraph was for another post, but i realize tt i've uploaded a whole other bunch of photos yet, have not written a post.. so i decided to do transference! :p
so 2 weeks ago, we watched this movie, Control. it was a film abt Ian Curtis, and how he lost control of his life, and finally gained control in the end thru suicide. well, at least that is my interpretation of the film, in a few short lines. i'm not sure that most of you would agree with tt, but personally, that's what i feel. maybe its my own beliefs in a certain sense.
anws, we watched the film under the most excruciatingly painful conditions. the air conditioning in the substation was not functioning, and the damn chairs were so closely packed that when the person in front so much as sits with his back on the chair, yr knees feel the heat.
after the film, we went to clarke quay for dinner.. and since everyone wanted to watch the band at the pump room, we simply had dinner there. the food was not good, and it was damn pricey. as such i felt it didn't warrant a picture. haha.

the band however, was fantastic. they sang so well.. and a wide variety of easily identifiable songs. everyone was having a great time.. and it was really funny when the lead singer called out for requests. there were 2 guys having their bday, and a girl having her hen party. and boy was it a riot on stage. and so the hen had whip cream to lick of a spanish (i think) guy's chest, and a banana to eat off the chinese 28yo virgin's pants. yes, the banana was sticking out like something else.. i dunno how the hell they managed to make it stand tt way. its so sad tt i failed to take picture of the hen, she was dressed like ugly betty and sure looked the part. hilarious stuff!


yes, and 2 weeks ago, i also happened to be at SGH. and the nice view from the tutorial room.. the blinds had always been drawn. only after my hyperactive fingers decide to pull the blinds away one day did i see this nice view.. :)

and this is the buffet from honjin. we decided to make use of the UOB offer.. hmmm, it was still quite ex, considering that the variety is not tt good.. i was kinda disappointed actually, but at least the food was quite fresh.. :) the octopus all went to me, and mind u, it was not just one plate of sashimi.. but i love octopus. its so nice and chewy! :D

the beef cubes were good, i liked this a lot. somehow, japs do this dish quite well

and the tempura prawns, which ty was supposed to eat 48 of, but failed. duh!

these are some of the other food around SGH tt we had. gosh, am i setting up a food blog now. shit, my life is slowly revolving around food now adays. better stop the food pictures soon.
so anw, we were at claire's place early one day, cuz there are just no freaking psy patients in SGH. and we were trying to decide on a lunch place, and ta dah, the TV gave us a sign. they introduced this stall, in chinatown, which was so nearby, so we headed down..

this beef noodles is quite good. it had such a good mix of different ingredients. though i think, i like the sliced beef the most for sure! the dry one has really interesting ingredients like peanuts on it.

then this is the yong tau hu with a damn long queue at chinatown complex. but boy it was certainly worth the wait! the soup is so delicious and the home made fish cake is excellent as well. and of course, the ikan bilis. i love ikan bilis. you guys must try this if u ever go to chinatown complex. highly recommended for a cheap price of $3.. :)

last part.. we were at vivo because... ... i can't remember. oh, because i wanted to repair my phone. yes, i think so.. but sick of all the food in vivo, we went to haborfront to have spizza. yes, the calamari rings are great!! :) but more the sauce than the rings. i still think prego's rings are one of the best

and the pizza. just felt like posting the picture cuz i like how green those leaves are!

but yes, the pizza here is still as good tasting as ever. the super thin crust and the topping tt just go so well together. mmm :) and the service is great. ever so friendly.

and lastly, this lousy thing at delifrance. its a crepe suzette. i was trying to use up some vouchers. mind u, delifrance bistro is really awful now adays. dun go back there. terrible place! tsk!
